State of the Baltimore City Chamber Report

Happy New Year!

It’s a brand new year and we are super excited about what is ahead for the chamber and the Baltimore business community.

The State of the Baltimore City Chamber Report is our moment to share long-term vision, strategic priorities, and the programs being built to strengthen entrepreneurs, employers, and leaders across the city.

More than an update, this is a clear invitation to engage—highlighting how the Chamber is evolving to serve Baltimore with greater impact, collaboration, and opportunity in the years ahead.

Meet Your New Executive Director:

In July 2025, we welcomed new executive director, Tiffany Bethea who stepped in to steer the chamber forward with fresh vision.

Tiffany is an award-winning speaker, digital brand strategist, and bestselling author.

She has a business degree from Hampton University and is certified in digital marketing.

For the past 19 years, she has shown coaches, speakers, and service providers how to launch massively profitable and impactful online brands.

She is also the founder of Successful & Surrounded, a faith-centered community and coaching ecosystem that helps purpose-driven women build aligned, sustainable businesses without sacrificing their worth, peace, or calling.

Vision 2036: Where the chamber is headed.

Over the next decade, the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce will become a force that not only supports businesses but also reshapes the economic landscape of our city.

We envision a Chamber that fuels a stronger Baltimore through four pillars: Jobs, Growth, Capital, and the Future. By helping businesses hire, scale, access funding, and innovate, we will make Baltimore a place where entrepreneurship is not just possible, but thriving.

Our 4-point focuses:

Workforce Development

We intend to be a workforce engine, helping thousands of city residents secure jobs, internships, and training that reduce crime and fuel community pride.

Business Growth

We intend to be a growth accelerator, scaling local companies into regional and national players who reinvest in the city.

Capital & Procurement

We intend to be a procurement hub, connecting hundreds of small and minority-owned businesses to millions in contracts.

We intend to be a leadership pipeline, equipping youth entrepreneurs to step boldly into business and civic leadership.
