On November 30th, 2016, the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce held its 7th Annual Legislative Reception. The event paid special tribute to three councilmembers who are retiring at the end of their terms in December, Councilman Robert “Bobby” Curran, Councilwoman Helen Holton and Councilwoman Rochelle “Rikki” Spector. In addition to honoring the retiring City Council members, the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce hosted members of the current and newly elected City Council, along with representation from Maryland's General Assembly.
On July 7th 2016, The Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce held its 7th Annual Business Development Day at the lovely Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites located in Downtown Baltimore/Inner Harbor. Workshops covered:
- Building and Growing Business
- Doing Business with Baltimore City
- Establishing a Brand
Each panelist give their unique perspectives on business development followed by interactive questions and concerns posed by both the facilitators, fellow panelist and the audience.
The Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce held its 6th Annual Women’s History Month Luncheon at the beautiful The Grand located in Baltimore City. "Lead, Innovate, Inspire" was the theme for this year's luncheon. Seven local women were honored as "Women of Excellence" for their outstanding contributions to the City of Baltimore.

On January 7, 2016, the Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys served as the lovely backdrop for the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce's Annual Legislative Reception. The keynote speaker Jimmy H. Rhee, Special Secretary of the Governor's Office of Minority Affairs, delivered a spectacular speech. Panelists for this event included State Delegate Barbara Robinson, State Senator Nathaniel McFadden, State Delegate Samuel I. "Sandy" Rosenberg, and City Councilwoman Rochelle "Rikki" Spector.
